Sara Lamnin was first elected to serve you on the Hayward City Council in June 2014 and re-elected November 2018. During her term in office, she has lead on issues regarding affordable housing, economic development, homelessness, public finances, transparency, and public safety.
Sara received her Bachelors of Science in Recreation Therapy from San Francisco State in 1996. She also graduated with Honors from California State University Hayward (East Bay) with a Masters in Health Care Administration in 2006. Sara Lamnin is a graduate of several leadership training programs including Leadership Hayward, Emerge California, and the University of Pittsburgh. Sara is the proud granddaughter of immigrants and lives near Downtown Hayward with her husband Jon.
